Back in the 90s I saw Carl Sagan while on a trip to Ithaca. He was driving a Rabbit convertible. He is my hero.

There was no mistaking that giant bobble head ... he taught at Cornell for years. If only I’d been smart enough to take all the astronomy courses there. Took honors astronomy at U MD and did OK, though.

It would, but that isn’t what you’d see. The lead image is a composite which includes four infra-red bands with false-color representations mixed in with the true color image. This is closer to what you’d see:
Not that it’s any less spectacular.

This is not what the universe looks like. The color is added later. You could never look out the window of a space ship and see this. It’s still cool.
